I wouldnt put anything like that near where it could possibly get into your tank. Do a search for the exploding tank and why it exploded and caught on fire.

i thought that was only the fill nipple. "Mike from TechPB" says that if you put it on the end of the reg it will be fine. but he could be wrong. Also, if you put it on the threads of the gun asa it will be fine, right

I cant remember if it was fill nipple or the other way but I know im not chancing it.

Never oil the fill nipple. Oil + High Pressure Air = Disaster!

It's ok to oil the ASA or regulator threads.

That how a Diesel engine .....buy compress oil till it explode!

oil in the tank = bad
oil outside the tank = no problem

putting a little lube on the threads isn't going to hurt anything.
Just buy an on/off asa and you won't need to lube any threads
